Construction job opportunities at the new Edmonton Energy Recovery Facility

NRL are proud to be the recruitment partner for construction roles on the new Energy Recovery Facility under way at Edmonton EcoPark. Submit your application today to support this vital project.

North London Waste Authority (NLWA) are delivering the North London Heat and Power Project, which will see ACCIONA construct a new Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) at Edmonton EcoPark. Across the project work happening at Edmonton EcoPark, 2,500 jobs are expected to be generated.

The EcoPark has diverted 21 million tonnes of rubbish from landfill since 1971, and the replacement ERF will allow the EcoPark to continue generating electricity for up to 127,000 homes and support a district heat network.

What project work is available?

We expect to need a wide range of skills and disciplines across the project build.

Just some of the disciplines and expertise we’re looking to add to the project talent pool:

Apprentice, Chargehand, Mechanical, Electrical, Driver/Operator, Scaffolding, Health and Safety, Fabrication, Inspection, Rope Access, Piping, Project Control, Rigging, Plating, Welding, HVAC, QA and QC.

How can you work on site?

NRL are operating a talent pool, where candidates can apply to work on this project.

Where contractors require skilled workers to complete various stages of the project, they’ll draw from this talent pool - so for any opportunities to work on site, you’ll need to have registered with NRL.

What is NAECI?

The Edmonton project is operating under the NAECI - the National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry; a working rule agreement developed by the industry to ensure workers are treated fairly and consistently.

This sets the terms and conditions for how workers are paid and managed on site, as well as a health and safety framework with all contractors and subcontractors operating on the site need to follow.

Any construction workers on site will be contracted under NAECI terms.

Who are NRL?

NRL have been supporting engineering companies with recruitment solutions for over 40 years. Identifying the right people to help deliver expertise for our clients, whilst ensuring we provide the best support to our candidates.

Working with project stakeholders to ensure they remain compliant with the working rule requirements that come with operating a NAECI site.

Who are ACCIONA?
